Short Bio: The Online Therapy Unit is a research unit located at the University of Regina. The Online Therapy Unit provides free and effective Internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy courses to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, alcohol use, sleep problems and more. The Unit conducts multidisciplinary research on the reach, adoption, effectiveness, and implementation of Internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Activity: To celebrate World Sleep Day, the Online Therapy Unit invites anyone interested; the public, students, researchers, and health professionals, to a talk on treatment for sleep problems.

Attendees will learn about the fundamentals of normal sleep, how to identify sleep problems, and the principles behind Internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as an effective evidence-based approach to improving sleep.

Our esteemed speaker, Dr. Amelia Scott is a clinical psychologist with a PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia. She is a research academic at Macquarie University’s eCentreClinic, where she develops and evaluates online treatments for mental health and sleep disorders. She also practices at the Woolcock Institute, one of Australia’s leading respiratory and sleep clinics, helping people improve their sleep and well-being.
