Professor of human anatomy in a medic al school, and researcher in the neuroanatomy of temporal circadian system, and a field of sleep-disordered breathing that include non-obese chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients. Our group, that include Profa. Fabiana Barbosa, now also initiate an community-based sleep disordered study in a rural population.
In the first time, we organized the “Jornada de Sono de Caicó”. On this occasion, we brought first theme sleep and sleep medicine to this region of northeastern Brazil. Our event was attended by doctors and students, and we address issues such as sleep and society, sleep in the elderly, sleep-disordered breathing, sleep and psychiatry, sleep and dream, and sleep molecular biology. We would like to add the great support and presence of Prof. John Araujo.
