The Institute of Sleep and Stress began the campaign by the World Sleep Day in March 2016, it was promoted through social networking with the hashtags # DíaMundialdelSueño in the accounts of Twitter and Facebook in Spanish (@suenoyestres – Institute Sleep and Stress) and #WorldSleepDay Twitter account in English (@sleepstressinst).

Thanks to the spread of information made on radio, TV, digital media and social networks, on March 18, the tag # DíaMundialdelSueño was trending in Venezuela for more than 8 hours, positioning itself at the top of the Trending Topics in Barquisimeto, Caracas, Ciudad Guayana, Maracaibo, Maracay, Valencia and Maturin.

All this allowed the slogan “Good Sleep is a Reachable Dream” to reach much of the Venezuelan population, which did not know the existence of World Sleep Day. So we continue to contribute care and education for the welfare of our society.


As part of the celebration of World Sleep Day, the Institute of Sleep and Stress organized an agenda broadcast on radio and television to take the message of the World Association of Sleep: “Sleep well is an achievable dream” to all Venezuelan society.

Friday 11: Dr. Julio Vicente Pérez Infante was a guest in the “Zona Aware” Carmen Ruiz program, broadcast on 105.5 FM tourism in Vargas (Venezuela), there talked about the importance of good sleep and the negative effects of stress.

Monday 14: Dr. Pardey Betty Maldonado talked about World Sleep Day with journalist César Miguel Rondón recognized in his radio program broadcast on 99.9 FM successes. The specialist took the opportunity to spread the slogan of the World Association of Sleep: “Sleep well is an achievable dream.”

Dr. Julio Vicente Infante Pérez was the special guest of the program “Your first coffee” hosted by Janeth Castillo Rojas and Arquímides transmitted by Zone 92.5 FM in San Antonio de los Altos (Miranda – Venezuela). The psychotherapist spoke about sleep disorders and the problems faced by villagers working outside who do not meet the established sleep patterns because they must get up very early to move to Caracas and nearby cities.

Dr. Betty Maldonado Pardey was the special guest of the program “Hand in hand with Venezuela” Graciela Beltran Carias, broadcast by Onda 107.9 FM. Our specialist spread the message for the World Day of Sleep and shared the general recommendations for improving practice good sleep.

Tuesday 15: Dr. Julio Vicente Infante Pérez spoke with the renowned Venezuelan journalist Maria Laura Garcia in his program “Your Health” (radio version). For an hour, the psychotherapist was spreading the message of “World Sleep Day” and sharing some recommendations for listeners to improve their quality of life through the proper practice of sleep.

Wednesday 16: Dr. Pedro Luis Marquez Anzola and psychotherapist Julio Vicente Infante Pérez were the special guests of the renowned Venezuelan broadcaster Shia Bertoni in its program “Coffee with Shia”. There they talked of stress that is affecting the lives of Venezuelans and thus, his dream. At the same time, they talked about the Institute of Sleep and Stress, treatments and specialties.

Thursday 17: Dra. María Eugenia Acosta was a guest on “Renewed Reality”, hosted by journalist Carolina Fuenmayor and broadcast on 95.5 FM Play Network. Our specialist spoke of immunological implications associated with sleep disorders and stress, as well as unconventional handling of such disorders.

Dr. Julio Vicente Perez and Dr. Infante. Maria Eugenia Acosta shared for half an hour with Antonio Carlos Fraga and Vasco in its “Cases and things of Fraga” broadcast by Magic 99.1 FM. Infante Pérez highlighted the effects of good sleep in the personal and professional lives of individuals, while Acosta said immunological implications associated with sleep disorders.
Dr. Julio Vicente Infante Pérez spoke with the renowned Venezuelan journalist Eduardo Rodriguez Giolitti in his program “A time” broadcast by Union Radio 90.3 FM. The psychotherapist promoted the World Sleep Day using the slogan “sleep is an achievable dream.” He also took the opportunity to discuss the current situation of Venezuelan society, which is seeing his dream affected by the political, social and economic context.
Dr. Pardey Betty Maldonado was a guest on “Women in everything,” television program broadcast by Globovision. There he had the opportunity to promote World Sleep Day, sharing national and international statistics and spread some recommendations for viewers.  Dr. Maria Eugenia Acosta reported the message of the World Association of Sleep in “Zona Aware” program broadcast on 105.5 FM Tourism (Vargas – Venezuela) and led by Carmen Ruiz. He took the opportunity to discuss the effects of poor sleep in personal and professional life of society.

Sunday 20: Dr. Julio Vicente Infante Pérez was the special guest of Dr. Jorge Landaeta in his “Health for Kys” Kys program broadcast on 101.5 FM. For an hour, the psychotherapist spoke with his colleague on the current situation of Venezuelans to bedtime. At the same time, he answered questions from listeners, who did not stop to call and ask for recommendations to the specialist.
