      At Mexico City “World Sleep Day 2017” activities started with the conference untitled: “Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Diabetes” given by Dr. Facundo Nogueira, from Hospital of Clinics UBA, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Dr. Edgar López lecture “Sleep and Sexual Dysfunction,” with the presence of the medical authorities, as well as the medical community of the INCMNSZ, UNAM, INER and health professionals.
    • At the end of the conferences health professionals and conference attendees gathered outside the INCMNSZ to start a walk to the Medico’ Esplanade, where sleep specialists had the opportunity to raise awareness of sleep disorders on general population.
    • On the Medico’ Esplanade surrounded by the main health institutes was placed an information module where some sleep experts from the most important Institutes (National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER), National Institute of Psychiatry (INPRF), National Institute of Geriatrics (ING), and National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition (INCMNSZ), Mexican Academy of Sleep Medicine (AMMD), and UNAM had the opportunity to provide information about the importance of healthy sleep to the general population.
    • Information leaflets about the healthy triad: balanced diet, regular exercise and SLEEP WELL were also distributed to general population.

  • INCMNSZ Sleep Disorders Clinic Staff, in addition to its intervention at the informative module projected the video “Sleep Soundly, Nurture Life”.
