Short Bio: Lia Maisuradze, DrSc/Prof. pioneered the introduction course ‘Sleep Phenomenon’ in Georgia that has been followed by increased interest among the students of Ilia State University. As Chief Scientist in Lab of Neurobiology of Sleep-Wakefulness Cycle, Ivane Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine, she has been active in sleep research for more than three decades and given numerous presentations at national and international meetings. She has been selected for the President-Elect position of the Georgian Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine Society. Since 2013, she has been active in the celebration of World Sleep Day in Georgia.

Activity:
1.At the beginning of spring semester in Ilia State University, Lia Maisuradze conducted a special seminar with presentation which was devoted to the World Sleep Day 2019: the students were informed about the mission of World Sleep Day and significance of sound sleep and good sleep habits for health in different age groups.
