World Parkinson’s Program celebrated World Sleep Day on Friday March 17, 2017 by sponsoring educational activities at the Parkinson’s Clinic of Eastern Toronto, Toronto, Canada with a slogan of Sleep soundly, nurture life. World Parkinson’s Program provided educational literature in 21 languages including English, French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Romanian, Greek, Italian, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Chinese, Turkish, Somali, Persian, among others. This literature was provided to the patients visiting the Parkinson’s Clinic of Eastern Toronto, Ellesmere Healthcare Center and Urgent Medical Clinic. The literature included the awareness of sleep problems, Restless Legs Syndrome and strategies to improve sleep. Patients were also educated by the staff of medical center and Parkinson’s Clinic of Eastern Toronto about common sleep problems. Participants found this activities very informational.
